Hi all,
I purchased a Wurlitzer 2700, keys and of course a service manual. My issue is the carousel with the records will not rotate. Every once in a while, it moves, but mostly not.
I've cleaned all the contacts (I think) and I can't find the issue in the service manual - it was definitely written for someone already trained.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a lot that you're not telling us! For example, if you make a selection with the pushbuttons, does it pop a selection pin? If you pop a selection pin manually, does the carousel rotate and play the record?

Buttons push and pop up the selectors pins on the lower carousel, but the upper one does much of nothing. I can hit the cancel button and the record will return to the right (facing the machine). If I hold the cancel button long enough, it will attempt to replay that same record. The reason I say attempt, it the timing is off and the record just drops onto the turntable and needs to be held in order for it to be clamped onto the center.

I suspect that you have bigger problems than can be dealt with by a quick fix! You need to bear in mind that your jukebox is well over sixty years old and how it has been cared for will have a large bearing on its current condition - lack of lubrication, for example. You have posted this in the "General Jukebox" section but if you head over to the Wurlitzer forum, you can look through the threads there. There is a long thread dealing with the refurbishment of a W1900 which should be of interest to you and although not identical to your 2700, the mechanism operation is basically similar. That will give you an idea of what might be in front of you. As a beginner, it's also worth referring to the "sticky" post "How a Jukebox Works".
Good luck with your project, Norman.
