Hit 120 Main Control box

One of my jukeboxes has a fault with it. 
it is a early 70S HIT 120.
when you select a record it will scan back and forth but not select and pickup a record, it just returns to the right and parks up.

i have cleaned the scan pins and mech at the rear, checked all connections and replaced the 3 caps to the LP1 board, but is made no difference.

could someone please point me in the right direction if you can.

I've never really worked on tormat NSMs. Do you have a manual for you jukebox? Have you checked the voltages that operate the tormat memory? Is there a detent switch like in a Seeburg?
