Hi Anyone know where I can buy the most comprehensive Service manual on the market for a Rockola 435 complete with Schematics, troubleshooting & PSU Info. Paul

The most comprehensive you will get is at jukebox-world.de. This is because a reprint of the large schematic that accompanied the original Rock-Ola manual is available as an extra (costs more obviously). The PSU diagram will form part of the optional large schematic and the manual itself contains a parts list so everything you might conceivably need is there! The drawback is that Jukebox World is closed until the end of the month.

Thanks Once Again Norman. I will just have to battle on with this one then, which is just going too far when it puts the 45 on the plattern and slightly dips below the turntable level & then again when it goes to put the 45 back on the carousel it is just about 15mm short of stopping & then it locks up. Everything on the gripper mech has been meticulously striped down, polished & lubricated properly by me. I must be 1 cog off it working properly.

I sorted it. I had stupidly put the long spring inside the Gripper arm gear unit on the wrong side of the cylinder when Iput it all back together. Some of these Service manuals are pretty useless and a waste of money, like the 60 page one for the 435 that does not even have a full parts list in it & is just a glorified user manual

I actually think Rock-Ola manuals generally are very good - the schem-a-grams coupled with circuit descriptions are so useful for fault finding. All that's really missing from that 60 page manual is a parts list (I agree though, annoying if that's what you need!) and the large fold out schematic. The 435 large fold out schematic can be very handy but all it really provides that's not available in the 60 page manual, is a diagram of the power supply (again annoying if that's what you need, although it's not particularly complex).

Yes I agree, Those Schem-a-grams are useful but it's a bit pointless putting only the Amplifier section in a service manual, without the rest of the modules like the PSU & the credit unit etc. I wonder why Rockola never did any Troubleshooting flow charts for their machines similar to the NSM ones.
