New to the forum! Great to see all the jukebox interest and expertise.
I am restoring a Seeburg M100C. It was heavily modified with the grille tubes and pilasters removed, and the toes cut off. I am restoring it to original with pilasters, grille tubes, etc. I've had to get a number of reproduction parts including the color cylinders and fluorescent light holders. The problem I'm having is that the bottom of the cylinder where it meshes with the gear is making a noise. The "gear" at the bottom of the cylinder rides up on the small gear that turns it and then it clunks back down into the gear. You can see the cylinders raising up then clunking down. The cylinders turn and stay in sync, but they make that continuous clunking noise. Does anyone have experience with a reproduction like this and any suggestions how to remedy this? I'd include pictures, but I can't figure out how to do that...
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
--------------------- UPDATE: I was able to fix the problem by moving the gears on the rod so that they were closer to the center of the cylinder cages. It makes very little noise now, and my restoration can continue...

Thanks for posting the update. Currently struggling with the EXACT SAME issue you described. I have tried everything but maybe just one more try. I will move the gear as far as I can. Thanks
