Hi Everyone, I need some technical help! I have a 200 play Continental 2 on free play. As soon as I switch the machine on, I would make a selection, the buttons latch, the selection is made and the buttons unlatch. I go to make another selection and it wont allow it. (although there are credits) the latch solenoid is still energised, give it 2 or three minutes then all of a sudden it will drop out, and I can make a selection again.
sometimes this will work instantly, or have a delay up to 2 or 3 minutes or more. I have stripped and cleaned the latch solenoid, also checked the accumulator and there are plenty of credits. If I decide to push the credit button sometimes the latch solenoid would relax and I can make another selection. Have cleaned the rings on the credit accumulator, and button bank. My next course of action is check resistance of the resistors and if ok, change the 2 capacitors if out of tolerance.
