Hello all. I recently purchased a CD-100B for my man cave at a benefit auction. I have had it for approximately a month and it has worked beautifully until recently. The first few time's of use, I unplugged it after I was done in my garage for peace of mind. It would play for hours at a time flawlessly. Last weekend I accidentally left it plugged in for the entire week, but wasn't that worried about it and figured it would be fine sitting idle. However, now the CDs sound scratchy/static. Now, if I unplug the unit for an extended amount of time (?to cool down?) and try again, it will play a track quite well for about 10 minutes and starts to get scratchy/static sounds again . The problem progressively gets worse until I shut it down. Would someone be kind enough with an idea what the problem may be? I'm a car guy and know -0- about juke boxes, but I really enjoy this new addition to my garage and would really really appreciate some guidance. Thank you!

Sounds like your amplifier needs serviced . The amp is on as long as the machine is powered up.You might have some capacitors that need changed . I would change all of them if you can find a kit for it , or send it in for service.
