Hi all, I am new to the site and would like a little help as I am rebuilding a Wurlitzer SL600. I brought this Jukebox some time ago and slowly refurbishing it to hopefully a full working order machine, when I first brought it everything worked ok except for after the record had played the arm would not return and just stayed in the middle of the record so I decided to give the machine a complete overhaul by cleaning etc and after a long investigation I found that there was a broken spring and assume that was the reason.
However, when I came to replacing everything the first time I switched on it cooked several resistors on the amplifier board, two of the wire wound R47 ohm resisters (R136 and R124) and the two 390ohm (R122 and R137) I left the project for a while but managed to get an identical amplifier board but with no guarantee that it worked but at least I could use it as a template and copy resister values that were on it and not cooked. I do not want to try the other amplifier board at this stage until I have sorted out this problem.
I have repaired many PC boards in my jobs as service technician and was quite satisfied that I had repaired the PC Amp board ok and by copying the second one that I have, but before trying it I only plugged in the power supply from the transformer, nothing to the outlets incase something there was causing the resisters to cook. Now when I switched on with just the transformer power supply connected it blew two 2A fuses, one that comes directly from the main bridge rectifier. So at this point I jus want to check that the coloured wires from the transformer are in the correct order, I have a picture of one I obtained from the internet but it is not exactly clear in what orders the colours go, If anyone can shed a little light on this problem I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance. Steve
