Hello,
I have a Wurlitzer 1800. If I select a number, for example C21, the jukebox first or afterwards plays A21.
It doesn't matter what you select, the same number from the A series will also be played.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

My guess: A21 was selected at any time but does not get cancelled.

Hi Hildegard,
A21 was just an example. When I select B5 it also plays A5, when I select D15 it also plays A15. Whatever you select, the corrosponding number from the A series is also selected.

If you just push 21 (no letter button), does it select A21? If so there is a problem with the A button contact, it's not opening when the buttons are released.

Hi Norman,
Thank you for your suggestion but unfortunately that is not the case, after the songs are played the buttons are released.

Did you try what I suggested? I didn't say that the buttons weren't being released, what I said was that the contact on the A button wasn't opening!
Norman.

Hi Norman,
WWhen I only press a number button nothing happens and no coil or relais (I don know the name) is activated. When I then select a Letter, 2 coils are activated, the selected one and the A serie one.

OK Frank, I think what I suggested would have been the obvious fault. It's not a complicated circuit, you're just going to have to meter it out to determine where the problem lies.
Norman.
