If there a good way to remove the spring clips that hold on chrome extrusions? Im just trying to find out if there's a good way I haven't thought of before I get the hammer out... Thanks!

"--good way---?--Nope ! sorry. There are at least three ways to remove a "Tinnerman clip"--none "good", that I know of-- Assuming you want to re-use it ( which it was NOT designed for !), 1. Use a small screw driver to pry "out" on the locking tabs, one end at a time. 2. Using a large screw driver pry up on one end or the other, till you hear the clip "snap"--- 3. Di-no-mite, works every time---and #4. ( thanks to you!), a big hammer. Ron Rich

Ok, I went with a hybrid approach. Needless to say, I need replacements... any idea where I can get them?

They do make a nice "snap" sound--don't they--?? Check the suppliers listed above in the FAQ's section--- Ron Rich

They sure do (surprisingly rewarding to remove) although now I have to try and find replacements. I've sanded down and resprayed my ugly fabricated front panels so make them a bit more bearable while I try and source the replacements but now I can't fix the extrusions back on. I'm not sure that duct tape will improve the appearance of the machine again!

I get mine at the local hardware store. They have a great assortment of clips, pins, nuts, bolts, and washers.

Ben, Whatz "a local hardware store" ? That item disappeared along with buggy whips, around here. Used to be two "ACE" stores--if one did not have it, the other did, if neither had it, either could, and would, order it, for you. Now all we have is a "baby-big box store", owned (now) by Lowes. They stock one of each item--maybe, if you can find it--very few ( but very nice) employees to help find anything-- The largest ACE got pushed out by Starbucks offering twice the rent for the space in a strip-mall--after a 30+ year run--owner locked the doors, and walked away-- Ron Rich
