I have a mostly-intact and repaired 1438, but I'm missing the light shield that hides the fluorescent tube over the selection buttons (part number 17498). I haven't been able to find one for sale, so I am planning on fabricating one. I haven't found any good pictures or diagrams for what this part looks like.
If anyone has a 1438 with a light shield, can I ask you to take pictures and measurements for me?
I'm also looking for information on how the popularity meter is connected to the system. I have a meter, but can't figure out how to make it work.
