Hi Adrian, If it "ejects' the record--you are out of luck-- don't play it !! If it rejects the record upon set down of the needle, look for a shorted reject switch--especially if this phono is new to you. Ron Rich

Thanks Ron, shortened reject switch? I will have a look. Is it on the carriage? I've had the jukebox about ten years - not had any problems with the selecting mechanism before until this week

I've ordered a new one from USA (i'm in uk) its a RAFI 1.10107. thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I can fix oil leaks and unblock drains but electrics - I'm clueless

Bad news Ron - I got a new reject switch and soldered it in but it hasnt rectified the problem. Some good news though - The arm works fine on the B side so I'm thinking of taking all the records out and labels and swapping A sides for B sides . would be great to get it fixed properly but I just dont know where to look next - I got the manual and schematics but I'm not sure

Adrian, I don't recall seeing how NSM worked this switch, but you should be able to see what the difference in operation is between the A and B sides of a record-- Watch it work several times on each side ! Ron Rich

Just to be clear, are you saying it plays the B sides fine but on the A sides the arm cradle moves across OK but rejects as soon as the needle lands on the record? If so, check out the end of play reed switch and the wiring around it - is it shorting on A sides, for example? Norman.
