I just acquired this machine from a friend. I am new to jukeboxes and not completely familiar with their operation. Additionally I understand this wall mount model is pretty rare and information is not really available. It is completely intact but not operational. I have fixed a few obvious problems such as the light fixture and replaced a down fuse, etc. I cannot even locate a repair manual. Any information would be would be appreciated. Ideally I would bring it to someone knowledgeable to clean, lubricate and repair. I live in Oregon but visit California regularly. Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary, That model was made in three "versions"--very few differences other them cosmetic, that I can re-call. Internal parts are common, and not any more problematic then most RockOla to find. Check the list of repair persons in our FAQ's. Ron Rich

Thank you Rich but I do not see a list of repair persons in The FAQ section. What am I missing?

Hi Gary,
I am working on a rebuild on a Rock-Ola 1494. It appears very similar to your 430.
I was not able to find a repair manual, however, I found a manual for a 1484. It covers most things. You could try finding one of these to get things going.
Regards
Gordon..

Guyz, The RO 1884,1894 and 430 (miss-printed in some guides as 403) are, except for minor cosmetic differences, all the same. Ron Rich

Hi Ron and all, just for your information: There are four similar looking wallmount models by Rock-Ola: 1484, 1494, 403, and 430. Sometimes I wonder whether 430 was only made for the European market. But however, we have a customer in USA with such 430. Manuals are available for - both 1484 and 1494 in one book, both have extra schematic wiring diagrams - 403 with extra schematic wiring diagram - 430: The cover says 430, but internal sites are 100% like 1484/1494. The schematic wiring diagram is for 430 only. Model 430: The mechanism is basically the same like in 1484 and 1494. But the amp, power supply, credit unit and control box are slightly different and have own numbers. We show all four versions here: www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/Rock-Ola/R.O.Wandboxen.htmKind regards - Hildegard
