Hey guys,
I've just recapped the WSR in my Seeburg 100B and I've noticed it seems to be playing slowly now. Not to say that it's really slow, but songs sound like they're just a little slow.
The recap included replacing the motor run capacitor with a new one and I'm wondering how to tell if that's the culprit here.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Phill

Hi Phill, What tea are you drinkin' ? There is no "motor run cap" in a WSR ? If you have replaced the MR cap on the mech, it's possible you have transposed the 1.0 and the 1.45 connections. Ron Rich

The best kind, obviously!
I was tired last night and was speaking nonsense. It was supposed to say "The recap *didn't* include replacing the motor run capacitor..." but my brain chose to speak nonsense instead.
If it's slow (which it does feel), it's only a little so I think I'm going to time the record to make sure I'm not just imagining it first-- but you know what it's like when you play a song you know well and it just does sound quite right.

Phill, Do you have a copy of my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" -- if so read the "Lubricating---" section. There is nothing in the WSR, other then the contacts on the play control relay that can affect carriage motor speed --- Ron Rich
