Thanks Ron. It is a 750-E from 1941. The "E" designated Electric selector. Anna likes it because it is small compared to the 700 and 800 of that year. We restored it about thirty years ago.

Nope--the "E" stood for "Eliminate (bar fights)" ! On the old mechanical phono's, one person could drop in money, push a key down, walk away from the phono, and another person COULD, walk up, and lift up the selected key and press another-- Instant fight !! lol -- Ron Rich

Ron! What great wisdom you have. I had never put a lot of thought into that but I can imagine the trouble caused by people flipping the keys up on a non-electric selector. I wonder, is that why so many Wurlitzer 24 select conversions were made or was it to incorporate a wallbox for remote selection?
