I wanted to test a DCC 4 that I just repaired (replaced about 2/3 of the components on the power board, and made a panic box plug), and my test box is in pieces getting prepped for paint so I pulled the DCC out of my STD 160 and noticed that it was a DCC3-B with a SAS2-A. The DCC3 looks nearly brand new, super clean, no oxidation, very little heat marks. The 311134 and 311125 boards are nearly pure white on the topside and do not have any silkscreen markings (or is it ink) of any kind on the tops or backs. They look almost like a prototype board. My question or concerns are this:
Didn't the STD come stock with a DCC4 variant? And if given the choice would it be better to put back a DCC4 in the unit or leave the DCC3? And do you have reason why these boards would not have any silkscreen on them? Stephen

Stephen, Do you have a copy of my "Seeburg MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide"--Many answers there-- Silk screener broke down no silk screen that day--All "updated" DCC's are interchangeable. Ron Rich

Ha, I knew you would say that. I was thinking more along the terms of is there any compelling reason to swap the 3 back to a 4 other than that is was it should have came with?
