Hi all.
I'm looking for specs for the Filter Choke in the MRA5-L6 (#305205). My bass choke is bad so I'm ordering one from Hammond and thought I'd better check the filter choke as well. Thanks for the help.

Hey Ron, the email address for Paul is bouncing back. Any other way of getting in touch with Paul? Thanks.

We had some discussion about Seeburg amp chokes on another forum back in 2011. The OP purchased a Hammond 158Q and reported back that it worked great.

Thanks Norman and Ron. The 158Q is the one I'm replacing the bass choke with. Are you saying the filter choke can be replaced with the same?

Yes, the 158Q was used in that application. I would add that a choke shouldn't deteriorate with age like a capacitor might - so unless the existing choke has been subjected to excess current flow, it ought to be fine. The only ones I have ever replaced have been open circuit.

Thanks Norman. The resistance on the bass choke measured .3 ohms which seems pretty low. The difference in sound with it in and out of the circuit is negligible so I thought I'd replace it.
