The gripper motor make a whining noise when it operates. The motor has been disassembled, cleaned, lubed and regreased. It seems to work ok, except for the whining noise.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi BJ, Only thing I can think of is to ask where it's "whining" from--izit the motor section, or the gear box ? Ron Rich

BJ, Didja check the motor brushes ? Did you clean the commutator, between the sections ? Did you oil ALL "shafts" in both the motor and gearbox ? Did you remove ALL old grease, prior to installing new grease ? If so, try operating the motor for an extended period of time (removed from the gears of the gripper), and it MAY whine less ??
