Hi I am new to this forum but am a little concerned about the amount of noise coming from the gripper arm motor, it didn’t appear to make as much noise as this before, I notice on listening to some boxes on YouTube they appear quieter I have checked and lived the gripper assembly which is very smooth and free Any ideas what I can do to make it quieter Thanks in advance

Hi Andrew, Welcome ! Please read, and comply with our "rules" in the introduction section. As for judging how much "noise" you hear on your phono as compared to any YouTube's, I don't think there is a way. #1. Which brand motor is in your phono--which brand motor is in the YouTube one ? 2. How close is the camera (mic) to the phono on YouTube ? You can loosen that motor and run it without powering the gripper--If quiet, and you have dis-assembled it and cleaned up the gear box, greased it, and oiled the motor--Has the gripper assembly itself, been oiled--with 20 wt. ND oil ? Ain't nothing else can be done (Did you read the sticky posted here on grippers ?). Ron Rich
