Hi guys i have all ways wanted a jukebox and one came up for sale close to me at the right price.
Its not the oldest or best looking one about but good for a starter.
Its from 1981 buy the looks of it lots of date stamps inside the unit.
Everything works as it should do plays records in order free play a and b sides etc
The sound is well below par hardly any bass and some one has been cutting wires and linking them up in connector blocks.
The amp says its 125watts so i would expect a lot more power.
in stereo no sound at all switch it to mono and sound comes out.
i tired the speaker outputs on top of the cover for external speakers and pretty much the same mono ok but harsh.
if i could find a manual it would be handy as well, any idea where i can get one please?
Any idea on the amp fault please? i have wiggled the plugs and sockets etc still no joy
Thank you in advance for any help you might offer me

Hi Max, You can get a manual at jukebox-world.de (I am assuming you are in the UK?). Sometimes you just have to work your way through the problems, putting things back the way they should be, one bit at a time. I have not long finished a Rock-Ola 490 for a customer; I just cannot tell you how bad it was! The previous owner, I think, was totally misguided and everything that was done, maybe with good intentions, just made things worse. Norman.
