Hey gents.
Lately the carousel on my Rockola 1000 has been sticking . If I give it a nudge it qulm begin rotating and everything will work normally for the remainder of the jukebox use.
Tonight it started sticking after every record. Is it a position sensor issue or just a cleaning/lube issue?

Craig, What do you mean by "sticking" is the motor getting full power, if so, either the motor/ basket needs lubrication, and / or you have "flat/dirty spots" in the commutator, or bad brushes-- If the power is weak, you will need to look at the PS, for why-- Ron Rich

So after much highly scientific testing I believe I have found the problem.
I pulled the motor and it seems to be working normally when not installed. No dead spots during tests. Voltage was also good.
I then manually spun the carousel and noticed it was very stiff in one spot. After spinning it around a few times I noticed one record that was noticeably larger than the others by about 1/16 of an inch. Its marked as a 45 but definatly larger than all the others.
Removed that one and the carousel is moving much better. Will see how she goes.

Hi Craig, Did you slip any oil into the cam and any on the cam follower ? That was "loaded" wit graphite grease by the factory--using 20 wt. ND oil there will help re-constitute that grease. Ron Rich
