Hi
The basket on my 1475 judders randomly . it can be fine for ages and then starts juddering/vibrating . i have tightened down the anti vibration screws to just lightly touching the 'table' which does limit the vibration a bit and have lightly lubricated the basket cogs with white grease. I have also tried slackening off and adjusting the motor and its contact with the basket gearing. The basket belt looks to be not to tight and moves with the basket. One of the small brass rollers doesnt always move with the belt but it feels free. Ive had a good look round and cant see a reason why . Any ideas? Many thanks Bob

Hi Bob, Do you have the Manual ? If so, please read, and use terms therein, so we can all understand each other. If not, go to our FAQ's section and purchase it-Hopefully someone will be able to help -- Ron Rich

Hi Bob, Helps a little--the 4 screws are not "anti vibration screws". They are for transporting purposes only, and should not be touching the mechanism shelf, when the phono is operating. Magazine, or basket, only should move when phono is "searching", or "scanning" for a record-- If jerking while doing so, the read out wiper side of the "pin bank" probably has "dirty/contaminated", contact rings. Clean ONLY with a "safety solvent" applied to a clean rag !! Follow up with a very light coating of Deoxit-5. Ron Rich

Hi Ron
Ok I'm no skilled jukebox guy but managed to spray the contact rings with Servisol Super 10 a UK switch cleaning lubricant and wiped the rings with a handkerchief as best i could without dismantling anythng!.
As i've fully released the transit screws the vibration is still there and seems start to happen when the carriage gets to the 7 o clock position and stops about the 2 o clock position (so vibrating through 7,6,5,4,3,2 o clock positions.) The motor gear wheel looks ok and the magazine drive gear does to. Both these have been lightly lubricated with White 'calcium ' grease. the magazine turns freely with the motor removed and the belt tension seems fine. The JB plays fine, and with the transit screws just touching the shelf probably no one except me would notice. however when the transit screws are released the vibration is quite noticeable makes the tone arm and surroundings vibrate.
The machine was fully refurbished before I bought it in October from a guy who has renovated a fair number of Rock-olas and he is a meticulous guy. About a a month ago the magazine motor started blowing the fuses so he exchanged that and checked the machine for reasons for the fuse blowing but couldn't see any issues . Unfortunately he goes abroad for three months over the winter and wont be back till February hence me asking around to see if any Tempo owners may have an idea. thanks for your time!.
