Hi
I have a 100-CD Rock-Ola Bubbler - about 15 years old. External speakers have been working just fine but we now have a problem. When the external speakers are connected up the volume goes to full blast. The remote control is of no use. The remote control is working in as much as it increases and decreases the digital numbers in the jukebox. The volume through the external speakers, however, plays at max volume only. The internal speaker volume works fine, it is only the external speakers that have a problem. Or is it something to do with the jukebox perhaps?
I'd be grateful for some suggestions to try.

Hi Clive, If nothing's been "changed", and the speakers were/are, connected CORRECTLY, that would have to be an internal amplifier failure. If the speakers are in-correctly connected, it still is an internal failure, but now caused by the speakers. Either way, unless you have the skills to repair amps, it's going to need to be sent out--I would call "RockOla", if it were mine--- Ron Rich

Hi Clive, Just had a thought-- did the battery fail on this phono ??--it's possible, that this is a "programming" problem. I don't know this system well ! Check out your service manual programming section ! Ron Rich

Hi Ron Rich
Thank you for your time and your suggestions. I've had a look at the programming section of my instruction book - will try a factory reset on the external amp first.

Clive, Might just "do it"--if so, I would suspect a battery is failing-and definitely MUST be replaced prior to it "leaking" !! Ron Rich
