Testing all the resistors on the DCC out of my STD4 Mardi Gras project.... On the buffer board, 311134-2, there are four (4) 5.6k resistors (R85, 86, 87 and 88) documented, coming off behind the emitter of the NPN transistors. On this board, each and every one of them look to actually be 2.1k resistors. They don't look like they've been replaced, look like original equipment. Was this a production change that wasn't documented, or a field fix for something? I don't see anything about this in Ron's 'MicroLog' guide. Am I safe to replace them with the documented 5.6k ones?
Thanks Andy

Hi Andy, I have seen so few problems on that board that I can't answer that-- that resistor was changed from the -1 to `2 board. The change was made only because some of the boards would "lock up" when a wallbox sent signal--so if there is no wallbox involved, I would not worry--(probably they ran out of 5.6 k's the day they built that one--happened often--they just subbed in something that would work).
