Hi All,
I have an issue with my JAJ-200 jukebox. When I select a song, the pulse generator will turn its wheel and go right back to home and flip the buttons back out, but it doesn't send any signal to the pulse converter. I bought a service manual thinking there would be all kinds of schematics, but to my disappointment, there aren't any that completely cover the wiring of this jukebox. Its very difficult to trace every wire and to know exactly where and when I'm supposed to get a certain voltage.
I think there might be an issue with the pulse generator not receiving any DC voltage. The pulse generator motor is receiving its AC since it is turning.
Also, the credit unit is not working and I am not receiving any DC there either. Nor do I get any DC across the contacts of the coin mech's coin switch contacts.
I have found DC voltage (~28) at various points, so I know the rectifier is ok.
I just don't know exactly know where and when I'm supposed to find a certain voltage because of all the mechanical components in it.
Has anybody ever come across this issue in the past?

Hi, I am not sure of this model, as I can't visualize it, but older AMi's had the "overall schematic" pasted onto the inside of the rear of the phono--you might look. If not there, you might also contact some of our listed (in the FAQ's section) suppliers, and ask if an overall schematic is available ? To start, I would check all fuses, for type and size, at minimum. Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
Yes, I saw a spot where the schematic used to be (inside the back cover). I looked deeper, and finally found it laying inside behind where the amp is located. I also looked back through the manual and found that same schematic in it. But the one in the manual is all blurry and I cant read it. Its so blurry that I didnt even know what it really was...LOL So thank you for mentioning this. It made me look for the original one. I don't think I would have even thought about looking for it since I thought it was long gone. Thanks Again.

Now that I found the schematic I was able to fix it. I figured I'd put the solution on here in case anybody else has the same issue.
So indeed the pulse generator was starved of DC. I was able to find where the DC comes into the pulse generator which is pin 1 of the 4 pin connector. According to the schematic, all white wires (+DC) are connected throughout. I found continuity on the DC power white wire between the credit unit and the pulse generator. I was able to find continuity between the credit unit and the DC output of the junction box. I was NOT able to find continuity between the junction box and the pulse generator. Found that there are 2 white DC power wires connected together inside the 10 pin plug of the credit unit. One of the white wires was loose inside the plug. It just so happens the loose wire goes to the pulse generator. Jukebox is playing fine now. Thanks again Ron for turning me on to finding the schematic. If I didn't have that, it would have taken months to fix.
