I have what I believe are two different problems:
Problem #1 - A cd will be playing, and for no reason, the machine will stop playing, and re-boot, erasing all previously selected music. This happens only intermittently, some days it will play with no problems. Other days, it will do this numerous times. By cutting power to the machine & re-starting, sometimes more than once, I can usually get the machine to perform normally. I have tried disconnecting & re-connecting (power off) any & all connectors I can see with no improvement.
Problem#2 - After the machine has been on awhile, It develops a raspy sound, as if the speakers are blown. This usually happens when I have the "loudness contour" switch (which enhances the bass at lower volume) in the on position. Again, this is another intermittent issue. I can usually get the machine to play "decently" by switching off the loudness contour, or, by cutting power to the machine and re-starting after a few minutes. However, after the machine is warm, and if I leave the loudness contour switch on, the raspiness returns after a short time.
Any help with these issues would be appreciated.

Usually "stuff" like this is an indication of power supply problems. See the AMi/Rowe section sticky, on common problems. Monitor voltages when warm-- Ron Rich
