Hi, Pete from LI, NY,
When I'm in SERVICE mode, if I press CANCEL, the magazine will spin, until I hit the service switch to OFF or ON.
Another problem I have is that when the record gets selected, it gets placed on the turntable, the tone arm will drop onto the beginning of the record, then everything reverses. The tone arm goes home and the record gets put back into the magazine, like the cancel button was pressed.
Are these two things related? Is the CANCEL button staying closed?
Thanks for ANY information

Pete, Did you just acquire this phonograph ? Yes--there is a problem in the cancel circuit--see the CCU/MCU schematics, and check the button itself and look at the top of the "doghouse" for left on old wiring. Ron Rich

I bought it in 2004 and got about 5 years out of it. Then a bunch of problems came at once and it sat for about 10 years. Now I want to get it going again, but now, I've forgotten everything I used to know about it.

Hi Pete, Look around at the top of the "dog house" where the remote control connects--any "loose wires" there ? Are the two (red/black) wires from the outside rear cancel switch, there ? Jumper attached correctly ?? Other then that --watch the LED's on the MCU and see what is happening -- READ the FAQs in this section above-- Ron Rich

I had a remote cancel / volume put on years ago, so I could answer the payphone across the room and control the volume. I took all that off. Everything else seems to work on it's own, besides the keyboard (which I think is being affected by the locked up display). I also notice the optical switch isn't lighting up, though, I did notice a drop in voltage when the mag came around to the home position. I'll worry about this later, after I get everything else in order.
So basically, everything is working individually, just not together, as a unit
Is it possible that the bad display is locking out the keyboard which is breaking the chain of operations?

Pete, I don't believe so-- did you re-booth the CCC ? Is the battery good ? Did you clean up the plugs/headers as per the sticky ?? Ron Rich

I visually inspected and cleaned all connections. I put a brand-new 2325 battery in.
I did a factory default reset. Now in SERVICE mode, the board reads "0 0" Should it say "err0", instead?

I pulled the battery for a while, got back to "err1"
I couldn't do anything with that. The CANCEL button wouldn't even work.
I did the factory default reset again, it flashed "err0" for a second then went to that "0 0", that I mentioned previously.
I'm at a crossroads with this thing. I think the CCC is one of many problems with this thing.
If I can't find a decent one for a good price, I think I'll just sell this thing as is. I can't go broke trying to fix this.
Thanks for your advice, maybe I will put my new knowledge into another jukebox.
