Hi Tom, OK-- now I know where at you iz-- Those are the two switches --stopping and reversing switches -- at the point that those switches are "close", the transfer switch should take over and control the basket/lift arm motor-- is that transfer switch the open, or closed type ? Is it working ? Ron Rich

I'll have a look at that transfer switch. How about instead of me explaining how I cheat it into to working I begin from a standard order of operation. - I plug the cord in the wall socket.
- Lights and amplifier come on (There does not appear to be an external power switch).
- Credit achieved by a button that was installed where the change return button was.
- I randomly selected B3.
- Selector pin for B3 is released.
- Turntable motor turns on.
That's as far as it goes. - Tom

Hi Tom, Per chance--is the record loading switch working ? Is it set to "load", or "play" position ? And--once again--Which type transfer switch (open or plastic enclosed) is in that phono ? Ron Rich

Well I know what the spring went to. The transfer switch has an Over-center Spring to hold the contact in position. As you can guess I can't seem to find the spring anywhere now. Anyone got a spare? I also found a loose double conical spring (example of a double conical spring below) about a quarter inch long. Any ideas where it might be missing from? - Tom

Sorry Ron,
I thought the use of a an Over-center Spring made it clear it was open switch. The record loading switch works. I can force it by using the Carriage Switch where it then loads the record.
With a missing Over-center Spring the Transfer Switch will remain closed.
Victory Glass doesn't have one. - Tom

look at the two switches in the back--mute-play and other one-- one or both used a spring of that type as the over center spring-- also, is the tone arm pressure spring in place ? Ron Rich Sorry, at the time I wasn't familiar with the "over center spring" terminology. You were correct of course. - Tom

I checked with all of the regulars and no dice on the spring or washer. I just now ordered them from flippers.com. They are on my my last resources for pinball machines only because they are in Canada which equals slow expensive shipping. I vaguely remembered running across Wurlitzer parts there and sure enough they have the springs and the washers that goes with them.

Tom, Glad you found replacements ( You do know that you will find the spring/washer the day after you install the new one ??) - "Flippers--" is shown in our FAQ's "parts" section ! Please delete the requests you have posted in parts wanted. Ron Rich

Well I finally received the spring and washer. The switch wanted to act like a momentary switch. It took some trial and error to get it right but when I did it took right off. I can select and play both A & B sides with all acting as expected. So far so good.

Suddenly it won't play B sides, when selected it diverts to the A side instead.

I seem to be fumbling around again... sorry about that. I didn't seem to find what I was looking for under these Stickies. I looked on Newbies also. Are you trying to "put BO?AC-- free play" ? Are you trying to put "---2000-3300 into free play"? Are you trying to "repair---panel " ? Ron Rich

No sir, trying to fix why it won't play B sides. When I select A2, Pin A1 is what is given. I have done this with every letter, B2, C2 and so on and the result is the same, I get the Letter and a 1.
