one of the issues is the can move the scan carriage to the far right to have better access to the mechanism.

You can not move the mechanism left or right until it is cycled into scan mode.
There is no simpler way to disengage the mechanism carriage, nor is there any other solution short of disassembly.

The point of Ron's "sticky" is that it is gently persuading the mechanism to drop into scan mode!

I followed your instructions, I bought the correct oil and cleaned and oiled the safety level, i even went on YouTube to watch videos on what also to oil. Still, no scan, in fact, know the unit is playing the 45 finishing and playing the same song again and again.

I'm pretty sure that was actually progress.
The most likely cause for playing the same record over and over is a stuck clutch. This is a common Seeburg issue caused by lack of lubrication. Unfortunately the proper way to remedy this situation is to remove the clutch from the mechanism for cleaning and lubrication.
Remember that pesky 'release lever'? After the record rejects (but before the record returns to the slot) hold this lever down with your finger. With the lever down the mechanism should transition into scan. If the lever stays down but the record loads again, the problem is with the clutch... Unless you feel the trip solenoid trying to lift the lever against your finger. Then the problem is electrical.
Hopefully that's understandable.

We discussed the release lever at length...See this document: www.jukeboxmarty.com/images/trip.pdfIt's also shown in your manual. I know the manual doesn't say "detent release lever" (just "release lever" or "trip lever"), but it's in there! Don't be intimidated by the manual! You really need to try to get a handle on how your machine sequences. -Marty Thanks, but I’m confused, does this control the movement of the player left to right, or the capture of 45 to play the record. This lever "trips" the mechanism to enter the transfer cycle, either to load a record to play, or to put it back into the rack. There are three states to the mechanism movement: Play, Transfer and Scan. You will need to cycle the mechanism (possibly by hand) in order to release it.

I am able to manually "trip" it as well as trip it from the reject button on the back of the unit. both cases only have the record play, end, and repeat. over and over. I removed the back and oiled everything there a well (clutch and other areas).

Please don't think I am not following your instructions. I spent hours yesterday, trying what you suggested above in your posts. I've also watched YouTube videos. I am committed here. I will try again today.
