Hello everyone, I'm looking for assistance on identifying a part on the mechanism of a 200LU3 library unit (Select-O-Matic 200 Type 245SM7/245SM9). The part in question is attached to underside of the reset lever and appears to be a dashpot (shock absorber, damper). Picture below: If anyone can positively ID this and provide a part number I would appreciate it. I have not been able to locate it in the 200LU3 service manual or in Ron Rich's Seeburg Mechanism Guide (2nd ed). A couple of forum searches came up dry other than a single post regarding a dashpot on a M100C mechanism, which may or may not be the same part. I'm also looking for advice on replacement/reconditioning of this part. The pivots on mine were pretty much seized up with old grease - now that they're cleaned and lubricated (SAE 20 oil), is there anything else I should do with this?

In the absence of any other options, I reinstalled this part after cleaning the clevises, pins, and outside of the cylinder. It did not appear to be leaking or have any mechanical problems and moved freely by hand. If anyone has any information on ANY such dashpot on ANY mechanism, I'd be happy to hear it. I would imagine that there's commonality between many mechanisms. According to the post below, the M100C may have a dashpot with P/N #245595. jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/3526/dashpot-m100c

Sorry to step off topic and perhaps wrong section. I see this is a 2024 post. Is there a new moderator running this forum now that Ron has passed the torch?
