Hi all New member here I’ve just had some custom records printed for playing in my 1973 Rock-Ola jukebox Although the sound is a little low being converted from MP3 but plays otherwise fine The main problem I have is when the song ends, the record just keeps spinning around and not reaching the point where the arm will pick up the record If I give the needle a little nudge the arm then picks it up So my question would be what can I do to the record to ensure the needle reaches the end? I was thinking a scratch so the needle hits it and slides across enough Any ideas?
Hello. I have restored a 1968 Wurlitzer Americana 2 a couple years back. She plays great, but I have noticed that if I buy the newer styrene 45s there is a skip factor that is happening. so, i have only filled it with the older vinyl 45s. that might be a contributing factor with you juke box? I think the thinner material might require a heavier stylus pressure??? I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had that same issue with the newer styrene 45s? Best, Chas.
Some of the companies that are custom cutting 45rpm records may not follow industry standards for the lead-in and lead-out grooves (spirals). See this post for a similar but different scenario:
I moved the arm so that it starts a little further into the record thinking a little further in would mean a little further out What is the trip switch and where would it be? Or can I somehow create a scratch or spiral myself to get the needle to reach the end?

Be careful you don't accidentally alter the height of the tone arm, it's possible to do so and not notice. Too low and the gripper arm will smash your cartridge.
