Hi Cedric, Yes-- the 345-07D is a replacement for the T needle cartridge. Good T needles are available today-- price is somewhat high, but worth it, in my opinion. Ron Rich

Hi Cedric, The 201 is a mono model, the 222 is stereo-- other then that, the number of selections, and the cabinet-- they are both basically the same phonograph. Ron Rich

Hi Cedric, If you weren't happy with the sound from your V200, you would have the same issue with the 201 because it has the same speaker set-up. The 222 has just one full range 12" speaker per channel which is its weak point in my opinion.
Norman.

The 222 has just one full range 12" speaker per channel which is its weak point in my opinion. Norman. Agreed about the 222, and Seeburg must have thought the same because they put a 3rd speaker, an 8”, in the Q jukes the very next year before dropping back down to 2 speakers on the AYs before introducing the “dogear” speakers on the DS. I’m obviously biased because I own a Q but I think it’s an overlooked classic. It looks a lot more “plain” than the 220/222 BUT has a much larger viewing area for the mech than the AY and DS jukes and sounds better on its own than the 220/222/AY/DS without dogear speakers because it has that 3rd speaker in the cabinet. Seeburg really pushed for operators to run remote speakers with the early stereo jukes and all of them benefit from a pair of the TW1-8 remote speakers. I got a pair and that helps a LOT. You flip the crossover switch and the cabinet speakers are all bass and your remote speakers are the mids/highs. You can actually hear some stereo separation. I’d recommend a set of remote speakers to anyone with a 220/222/Q/AQ/AY/DS without the “dogears”

Hi Jake, Yea, but-- the Stereo models up to the DS had no provisions for stereo constant 70 volt speakers ?? Also, the amps had no provisions for low z speakers ? How have you got your remote speakers connected on your Q ?? Ron Rich

Ron Rich Hello Ron, Jake, everyone, Yes, that's what I have to plan. Add smalls speakers if I buy a 222 cause only 2 speakers 12", I'm sure that I'll miss of high frequencies. Ron, you right amps are not arranged to connect speakers with poor z but I think if you add speakers for only mid and high frequencies (as I've done with my V200, 2 tweeters 8ohms) it will work without prob. In my case for a 222, I'll think made some test with differents self for 12" inside the juke and work with 2 tweeters which can go down quite low to get closer to a pleasant response curve. Have a nice day, Cédric.

Norman. Hello Norman, Thanks too for your advise. Since I've add 2 smalls* tweeters in my V200, yes, it's just WAW. Some records still missing a little of high frequencies (compare with my Regis with wich I've too much treble) but what a crazy sound with my V, it's like if I have a concert in my living room. Singer and musicians have their own place, with depht. I've change caps in crossover (and place Mundorf Evo Coil, same value than original) and change a self (place a Mundorf 3.9mh (original is 3.0mh as you know ) for 8") Pure pleasure! Now, I know that I need and I can to personalize juke I buy.
*I chose small ones (SICA LP 53X58.28) in order to be able to hide them and I didn't need to go below 6000 as there are the 8 ". Otherwise I really like the SICA LP 110.28 which are really thin, excellent for the price. It's that tweetrs that I've place in my RO Regis.
Have a nice day! Cédric.

Hi Jake, Yea, but-- the Stereo models up to the DS had no provisions for stereo constant 70 volt speakers ?? Also, the amps had no provisions for low z speakers ? How have you got your remote speakers connected on your Q ?? Ron Rich I’ve got them connected as per pg 13 of the Q installation manual. Speakers jumpered to 16W and no jumper between ground and VC1, switch on the amp set to 16, the speakers connected to the taps marked “Channel 1” and “Channel 2” on the amp, and the crossover switched off. That’s how the manual said to set up the stereo remote speakers for a small room and that’s how I’m running it. I’d post a pic of the manual pages but I’m unsure of how to do it and I can always take pics of the connections at the speakers and at the amp if you want. I know you've got the manual pages, though, and if you look at it, that’s exactly how I’ve got it set up. SHFA2 amp and a pair of TW1-8 remote speakers.
