Hi Cedric, You do NOT have a "V-200 Pickering" cartridge--because there was never such a thing ! That was an error made by the "Phunnie needle company", made years ago, and everyone copied it, without checking ! If you would read the above stickies, you would find out that Pickering only made two types of "wedge needle" cartridges for Seeburg products. Which needle are you speaking of from Jukebox-world ?? Is the plastic green or yellow in color-- what spring setting, is it using ? Ron Rich

Hi Ron, Yes, it's not a cartridge especially for a V200, it's a substitute. There's only the yellow avaible on jukebox-world. The springs are set for a pressure of 3grs. Work great. Cédric.

Just posted by Victory Glass: "IMPROVED ITEM! We are proud to offer a new, dramatically improved diamond conical needle (Yellow Wedge) for Seeburg / Pickering 340/345 cartridges. These were personally tested by us and the audio quality is identical to OEM Seeburg styli." Apparently the price was improved also!

Marty & All, I don't giv a "---" HOW they were "tested"-- The same needle can not be used for a replacement for the "yellow/violet" types, and the "green/tan" type needles -- I will check with them and get back to here--hopefully they have two versions-- read, the above posts ! Ron Rich

Curious about the result.
I tend to agree with Ron here, I have compared many types of yellow wedge needles using my Seeburg VMC. It has a VU meter that gives me a reference as far as output goes. OEM has nice full output, so far none of the repro needles come close to the correct output level or sound quality.
Using the yellow wedge on the 100 select models will produce sound but the at way too much pressure for the needle. Trying to reduce the pressure will not work as the tonearm assembly was never designed to work that way. Tonearm dampers are getting old too.
If they designed the repo needle for 4 grams interesting to find out what the impact on sound and output level is.

H Marcel, That's updated above somewhere in this sticky-- long-short--better quality the the "Phunnie Company's", products-- but still not as good as OEM's ! Ron Rich
